The log file allows you to review what information was collected during the recovery process. The program records every step it takes in the log file: selection of the drive, selection of the file system, creation of the recovery tree.
The log file records information about the geometry of the selected drive, file system structures such as partition tables, boot records, supqerblocks, and metadata, the quality of the file systems found by the program, the sector numbers and found file signatures, the filenames associated with located files, the location of directory starts, and the copy process.
The log file can consume quite an amount of storage space. Should you decide to keep a log file of the recovery, choose a log filename in Settings. ***Make sure you do not write the log to the drive you want to recover***
You can create a short version of this log file with the snapshot feature.
